We are pleased to welcome you to the newly renovated Court House in Great Bromley, Colchester. Our restaurant offers a relaxing dining experience with a contemporary modern feel. As a sister restaurant to the Wooden Fender in Ardleigh, we have continued to expand our delicious home cooked menu offering you a first class service.
We will soon be offering on site accommodation with 5 separate rooms set in a separate dwelling on the grounds of The Court House. These 5 luxurious rooms will be perfect for those visiting the area or exploring. Should you be getting a ferry from Harwich or visiting John Constable country in East Bergholt/Flatford, these rooms are perfectly located.

Wonderful welcome, excellent food, service and ambiance. The staff are caring efficient and we would highly recommend. A perfect experience we will definitely come back for more despite living miles away...it's very worth it.
A lovey local village pub which has had a great refurbishment. Been here twice since it has reopened and the food, drinks and staff are all excellent
Food was delicious. I chose chicken escalope from the specials board and it was amazingly tender and succulent, the breadcrumbs so light... Veg were on point too. Great service too. Will definitely have to split my time between here and The Wooden Fender.
